There is an argument that because you typically have a large skill deficit in a weak area that a small investment can yield large gains, rather than stacking in areas you are already above average for smaller relative gains? It depends if you are spending alot of time in an area (such as work) or interested in learning something.

I am curious why you associate accounting with maths. It is fairly procedural at lower levels, but quickly because a bit more interpretive at the more interesting levels.

Why no warhammer min-maxing example, thats the classic :P
